This is the story of Creampuff, a.k.a, Alfred.
Drifted away from the shelter and care of his masters, Creampuff ended up making The Block in San Antonio (TX) his home one sunny morning.
A very quiet and calm neighbourhood with some occasional show up of humans made this block a perfect shelter for homeless.  When bored he even walked up closer by locals near the park or the food park and spent some time getting a lot of love and scritches.

Creampuff

There was something adorable with this tiny guy. Every time locals came to the park Creampuff made them smile with his cute little gestures.

One day a kind caregiver discovered a wound in Creampuff’s tail. The small guy was not at his best health and this was definitely a concern. The concern was debated in social media like Reditt as well when photos of Creampuff were shared. Creampuff by this time was already a known face in social media as people shared his photos and expressed his sweetness.

A quick suggestion was by a  Rdditor Iamkmi. Creampuff needed immediate medical attention. The society was ready to take up the responsibility in a shared manner and help Creampuff get back his health.

Iamkmi soon made a voluntary decision to take up the responsibility to carry Creampuff to the vet and be with him till the wound on his tail got a complete medical attention and a surgery ifthe need be. Any one who desired to help with a part of the bill was welcomes. Soon, a handsome sum of $255 was gathered. Plans were made about the way Creampuff should be taken to the vert.

At last the D day came. That was a sunny Thursday lazy afternoon when Creampuff was found lazying. Napping and lost in his own world under a  tree at one corner.

Startled at first, Creampuff soon responded to my call just like his usual loving nature.

Creampuff is always up for some good scritches.

They say the best way to woo a pet is with food. True it is. Creampuff was offered some  yummy food but, he was shy to respond. But, how can he resist the delicious canned food and for how long. Things started shaping up just as was planned.

Stray Cat

The idea was to keep Creampuff busy with some good food while his carriage was needed to be prepared.

Stray Cat

Carefully positioning the canned food near the carriage and sweet talking towards it and slowly inside the carriage was a real challenge.

You can watch the wound on his tail here.

He was busy finising his meal, we zipped him up in the carrier. The first part of the job was done.

Soon, he became a bit rusty and nervous to discover he was in a closed enclosure. He even tried clawing through the carrier to move out. However, the people who carried him made continuous efforts to comfort him.

Finally it was going to meet his vet.

Well done boy!

When he met his vet he was nervous and not quite happy at first. But, a bit later he was all settled to go to his kennel. The vets made Creampuff’s check up and gave him rabies vaccination and antibiotics. His wounded tail was treated.

He was to stay in his new home as the next day was his neuter surgery.

Stray Cat

I once heard someone at The Block calling Creampuff as Alfred. But I did not recollect it when I came to the vet. And this is how Alfred became Creampuff during this entire expedition.

With his healthy tail was back at The Block. He is a lot more happy and healthy now. So, any time you wish to spend some time with a small pack of happiness just drop by The Block and hang out.

Spread the story.
